Patricia moved from a small town in PA when she got married, and has lived in Philadelphia ever since. She loves working with children and the Beacon Center. Pat raised four children of her own, and now has ten grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys reading and completing word-search puzzles. Pat also volunteers at St. Lucy Day School for Children with Visual Impairments. |

Matthew is currently a student at Community Academy of Philadelphia, C.S. He has been working for Catholic Social Services for about 5 years. Standing at 5’7”, he describes himself as determined, trustworthy, honest, and easy to get along with. He is a good poetry writer and enjoys playing basketball and working on cars in his free time. Matt plans to live one day at a time and hopes to make something of himself. |

Chelsea is a student at Little Flower High School. She has been working for CSS for about 8 months, and enjoys working with children. Chelsea describes herself as very kind and dependable. Her hobbies include hiking, reading, computers, and music. Her goal in life is to become a social worker or a nurse. |

Tyrone Whitest |
Tyrone describes himself as a God-fearing, peaceful, caring, creative, down-to-earth, and strong young man. He is hard-working, and loves God and his family. Tyrone has been working for CSS for seven months and his hobbies includes writing and producing music. Tyrone has many goals he seeks to accomplish in life, one of which is to give the youth what he would like to have. He strives to be a good role model, who cares about the youth’s lives, and an affectionate social worker. Tyrone would not be the strong, hardworking young man that he is today if it wasn’t for his lord and savior Jesus Christ, his aunt Denea Whitest, and his pastor Demette Ray. |
